A City of Compton Change in Election Dates, Measure E ballot question was on the June 2, 2009 ballot for voters in the City of Compton in Los Angeles County, where it was defeated.

If Measure E had been approved, it would have amended Sections 1300, 1301 and 1302 of the Compton City Charter to change the date of the Primary Nominating Election from the third Tuesday in April of each odd–numbered year to the first Tuesday in April of each odd-numbered year and renaming it to be called the "General Municipal Election". This would have changed the date of the General Municipal Election from the first Tuesday in June in each odd-numbered year to the third Tuesday in June of each odd-numbered year and renamed it to be called the "Municipal Runoff Election."
