A City of Riverside Maintenance Oversight for Parks & Recreation, Measure I ballot question was on the June 5, 2012 ballot for voters in the City of Riverside in Riverside County, where it was defeated.

If Measure I had been approved, it would have amended the City of Riverside's City Charter to "remove oversight of the maintenance of parkways, shrubs, and trees within street right-of-way from the Park and Recreation Commission?"

A simple majority was required for approval.

Support

The editorial board of the Press Enterprise supported Measure I. They wrote, "Yes. This measure would assign responsibility for streetside trees and plants to the department actually doing the maintenance."[1]
