Luckie ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Ohio House, District 39. Luckie was unopposed in the March 6 Democratic primary election but withdrew prior to the general election on November 6, 2012.[1]

Luckie won re-election to District 39 of the Ohio House of Representatives. His republican opponent, Jeffrey Wellbaum (R), withdrew from the election, leaving Luckie to face Harlene Holland (I) in the general election. The election took place on November 2, 2010.[2]
