Clifford Bayer (b. August 16, 1964) is a Republican member of the Idaho State Senate, representing District 21 since 2012. He previously served in the Idaho House of Representatives, representing District 21B from 2003 to 2012.

Bayer graduated with his Bachelor's degree from Boise State University in 1987.

In addition to being a Representative, Bayer is a Medical Research Scientist for the Boise Area Veteran's Administration Hospital.

Bayer won election in the 2012 election for Idaho State Senate District 21. He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on May 15 and defeated Kirsten Hooker (D) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

Bayer won re-election to District Seat 21B in 2010 against Democrat Sean Carrick. He defeated Thomas E. Dayley in the Republican primary on May 25th by a margin of 3,437 to 2,034. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[3]
