Colin R. J. Bonini has been a Republican member of the Delaware State Senate representing District 16 since 1994.

Bonini earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesley College and is currently enrolled in the M.P.A. program at the University of Delaware.

In addition to being a state senator, Bonini is also a Marketing Representative for James C. Anderson Associates.

Bonini ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Delaware State Senate District 16. Bonini ran unopposed in the Republican primary on September 11, 2012 and defeated Michael Tedesco in the general election on November 6, 2012. [2][3]

On November 4, 2008, Bonini won re-election to the Delaware State Senate from Delaware's 16th Senate District. Bonini defeated Harold Stafford (D) to win the seat. Bonini received 11,156 votes, and Stafford received 8,629 votes.[4] Bonini raised $82,120 for his campaign in 2008; Stafford raised $70,953.[5]
