Board of education

The Board of Education is composed of seven unsalaried members elected to five-year terms. Each member represents an electoral area in the District, but all are elected at-large. Elections take place in May, with members taking office in July.[11]

Unions

The Colonial Education Association (CEA) is the teacher's union for this school district.[15] It is an affiliate of the Delaware State Education Association/NEA. Lisa Machado serves as President.

2009-10

In the 2009-10 school year the District had 136 choice students at 11 schools.[16]
