Craig Beytien currently serves as an at-large member on the Dubuque Community School Board. He is seeking re-election against challengers Terra Siegert, Jim Prochaska and fellow incumbent George Davis in the school board election on September 10, 2013.

Biography

Beytien was born in Minnesota and grew up in Kansas City. Craig attended public schools and graduated from the University of Kansas in 1982. He began his business career in educational publishing with Macmillan before he joined McGraw-Hill in 1988 as College Textbook Editor. He eventually assumed the position of Vice-President of Product Development at McGraw-Hill, and served there for over 16-years. Currently, Beytien is Executive VP and a Partner at a publishing consulting firm called Content Connections. Beytien, his wife Alyson, and his three sons, Spencer, Joshua, and Zachary moved to Dubuque in 2003. Craig is also a woodworker hobbyist and semi-professional magician, as well as a devout Mormon.[1]
