Craig Brandt is a 2012 Republican candidate for District 40 of the New Mexico State Senate. Brandt holds a Bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministries from Oklahoma Baptist University. He is the Vice President for the Rio Rancho Public Schools Board of Education. He was a bill analyst for the Republican party on the Consumer and Public Affairs Committee in the 2011 Legislative session.[1]

Brandt is running in the 2012 election for New Mexico State Senate District 40. He is running against R. Morgan Braden in the Republican primary on June 5, 2012. Incumbent Bill Burt (R) is running for re-election to District 33. The general election takes place on November 6, 2012.[3]
