Brandt holds a Bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministries from Oklahoma Baptist University. He is the Vice President for the Rio Rancho Public Schools Board of Education. He was a bill analyst for the Republican party on the Consumer and Public Affairs Committee in the 2011 Legislative session.
