Crisanta Duran is a Democratic member of the Colorado House of Representatives. She has represented the 5th district since 2011. In 2004, she was a volunteer for the Ken Salazaar United States Senate Campaign.

Duran earned her BA in Public Policy and Spanish from the University of Denver. She went on to receive her JD from the University of Colorado School of Law.

Duran was a legal counsel for United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7. She has also worked as executive assistant for Family Star. Duran also had a fellowship for Alex Martinez of the Colorado Supreme Court. In 2008, she was political director for the Senator Mark Udall United States Senate campaign.

Duran won re-election in the 2012 election for Colorado House of Representatives District 5. She ran unopposed in the June 26, 2012, Democratic primary. She defeated Ronnie Nelson (R) and Victor Forsythe Villacres (G) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
