Elections for the office of Massachusetts House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on September 9, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Incumbent Dan Cullinane defeated Corey Allen, Ruthella Logan-Cruz and Carlotta Williams in the Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election.[1]

Cullinane won election in a special election for Massachusetts House of Representatives 12th Suffolk District. The seat was vacant following Linda Dorcena Forry's (D) election to the Massachusetts State Senate. A special election was called for September 10, with a primary on August 13. Cullinane defeated Stephanie L. Everett and Marydith E. Tuitt in the August 13 Democratic primary and defeated two write-in Independent candidates in the special election, which took place on September 10.[2][3][4][5][6]
