Dan Severson (b. August 31, 1954) was a Republican member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. He represented District 14A from 2002 to 2011. He served as Minority Whip.

Severson served in the United States Navy from 1978-2000, and has been a business owner and substitute teacher.[1]

He also made an unsuccessful bid to become the Minnesota Secretary of State in the 2010 election. He ran in the Republican Party primary for the seat that is currently occupied by incumbent Democrat Mark Ritchie.

2008

On November 4, 2008, Dan Severson won election to the District 14A Seat in the Minnesota House of Representatives, defeating Rob Jacobs. [3]
