Daniel J. Burke (b. December 17, 1951) is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing District 1 and serving as Majority Conference Chair. He was first elected to the chamber in 1990. since 2013. Burke represented District 23 from 1991 until 2013.

Burk's professional experience includes serving as a Deputy City Clerk in Chicago[1], owning the Burke Cornell Consulting Company, and working as a registered lobbyist.[2]

Burke won re-election to the 23rd District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. He defeated Rudy Lozano (4,014 votes), Rene Diaz (233 votes), and Martin Meza-Zavala (154 votes) in the Democratic primary on February 2nd. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[6]
