Dave Hunt (b. November 10, 1967) is a former Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives. He represented District 40 from 2003 until his retirement in 2013. Hunt served as House Democratic Leader, Majority Leader, and Speaker of the House.[1]

By profession, he is the Executive Director of the Association of Pacific Ports.

Hunt previously served as District Director for U.S. Congressman Brian Baird and Congresswoman Darlene Hooley. He held the position of Field Director for Oregonians for Quality Healthcare. Hunt was also the Vice Chair of the Oregon City School Board.

Hunt attended Sheldon High School in Eugene, Oregon and Columbia University in New York, New York.

Hunt and his wife, Tonia have two children, Andrew and Emily.[2]

Hunt won re-election to the 40th District seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition but was challenged by Deborah Gerritzen in the general election which took place on November 2, 2010.[3]
