Dave Young is a Democratic member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing District 50 since his appointment on July 28, 2011. Young was selected to finish the term of James Riesberg, who took a job with Gov. John Hickenlooper as the state's Insurance Commissioner.[1]

Young won re-election in the 2012 election for Colorado House of Representatives District 50. He ran unopposed in the June 26, 2012, Democratic primary. He defeated Skip Carlson (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
