David Caprio (b. June 5, 1967) was a Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 34. He served from 1999 to 2010.

Caprio earned his BA from Boston College in 1989. He went on to receive his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1994. He then received his MBA from the University of Southern Europe.

Caprio began working as an attorney after earning his law degree. He currently works for Caprio and Caprio Law Firm.

Caprio joined the Rhode Island House of Representatives in 1999. He has served in that position since, representing the 34th District.

Caprio ran unsuccessfully for re-election to the 34th District Seat in 2010. Teresa Tanzi defeated him in the primary election.[1] Tanzi faced Republican Timothy Burchett and independent Peter Stone in the general election on November 2, 2010.

2008

In 2008 Caprio was re-elected to the Rhode Island House District 34. Caprio (D) ran unopposed and finished with 4,794 votes.[2] Caprio raised $29,880 for his campaign fund.[3]
