David Dallas was a 2011 Democratic candidate for District 28 of the Mississippi House of Representatives.

Dallas is currently executive director of The HealthCare Foundation of Tri-State Delta, a non-profit consortium of health care providers. Previously, he was director of the Bologna Performing Arts Center at Delta State University from 2003 to 2008. He holds a bachelor's from Delta State and an M.P.A. from Mississippi State University, where he cared for former U.S. Senator John C. Stennis at Stennis's university residence. Earlier in his career, Dallas worked at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, the U.S. Information Agency's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and held a legislative fellowship at the U.S. Senate.[1]

Dallas ran in the 2011 election for Mississippi House of Representatives District 28. He ran unopposed in the primary on August 2, 2011 and was defeated by Republican Tommy Taylor in the November 8 general election. [2]
