David Guttenberg is a Democratic member of the Alaska House of Representatives, representing the 8th District since 2003.

Guttenberg served on the finance staff of Representative John Davies from 1999-2002, legislative staff of Representative Tom Moyer from 1999, and was Chair of the Alaska Democratic Party from 1994-1996.

Guttenberg is Vice Chair for the Western Region of the Association of State Democratic Chairs of the Borealis Community Land Trust Board of Directors, and political director for the Fairbanks Central Labor Council.[1]

Issue positions

Guttenberg did not provide answers to the 2008 Political Courage Test. The test provides voters with how a candidate would vote on the issues if elected.[2]

Guttenberg won re-election to the 8th District Seat in 2010. He had no opposition in the August 24 primary.[4] He defeated David M. Talerico in the November 2 general election.[5]

In 2008 Guttenber was re-elected to the Alaska House of Representatives District 8. Guttenberg (D) finished with 5,836 votes while his opponent Will Finley (R) finished with 3,447 votes.[6] Guttenberg raised $60,447 for his campaign fund.[7]
