|• Rules, Vice Chair|
From Halvorson's website:
I am Pro-Agriculture, Pro-Business, Pro-Life and Pro-2nd Amendment. I am a fiscal, social and Constitutional conservative. We should grow the tax base, not the tax rates. Our local entities (schools, cities & towns, counties, public safety services, etc.) are in serious need of financial help because of the impacts of oil and gas development. Therefore, oil and gas tax revenues generated in Montana's oil country need to stay at home. The local entities need increased flexibility to decide how best to use those oil tax dollars.
Halvorson won election in the 2012 election for Montana House of Representatives, District 37. Halvorson defeated Tami Christensen in the June 5 primary election and was unchallenged in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.
