David Lust is the Republican Majority Leader of the South Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 34.

Lust is an attorney. He joined the South Dakota State House of Representatives in 2007 and has served in that position since. He currently serves as House Majority Whip, representing the 34th District.

Lust ran for re-election to District 34 of the South Dakota House of Representatives. Lust ran against Dan Dryden and Debra Watson in the June 8 Republican primary. Lust and Dryden advanced with 1,898 and 1,432 votes, respectively. [2] Lust and Dryden defeated John Willman (D) and Devin Oliver (D) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]
