David McQuade Leibowitz was a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives. He represented District 117 from 2005 to 2010.

Leibowitz is an Attorney with the Law Offices of David McQuade Leibowitz, PC. He previously worked in the Law Office of Phil Hardberger, and has been a small businessman.

Leibowitz is involved with Habitat for Humanity, and the Matt Garcia Scholarship Foundation, is the Founder of Hammer and Nails, and the President of the Saint Francis Catholic Youth Organization.[1]

Leibowitz lost re-election in District 117. He was unopposed in the March 2 Democratic primary and then defeated by Republican John Garza in the November 2 general election.[3]

On November 4, 2008, Leibowitz won re-election to the Texas House of Representatives from the 117th District, receiving 28,675 votes ahead of Republican John Garza (21,607).[4] He raised $78,018 for his campaign; Garza raised $8,554.[5]

On November 4, 2006 Leibowitz won re-election to the Texas House of Representatives from Texas's 117th District, defeating Ted Kenyon (R).[6]
