David Pepper is a former Hamilton County Commissioner and current Democratic candidate for Attorney General of Ohio in the 2014 elections.[1]


An attorney by trade, Pepper has worked at the law firms Squire Sanders & Dempsey and Blank Rome since 2000.[2]

Pepper previously served on the Cincinnati City Council and Hamilton County Commission. He unsuccessfully ran for Cincinnati mayor in 2005 in Ohio Auditor in 2010.[3]

Pepper running for election to the office of Ohio Attorney General. He sought the Democratic nomination in the primary election, the date of which has yet to be set as of Pepper's April 2013 declaration of candidacy. Incumbent attorney general Mike DeWine, a Republican first elected in 2010, is running for re-election in 2014. The general election will take place on November 4, 2014.


Pepper unsuccessfully ran for election as Ohio Auditor of State on November 2, 2010, losing to Republican Dave Yost. Libertarian L. Michael Howard came in third.[4]
