Pierce won election in the 2012 election for New Hampshire State Senate, District 5. Pierce defeated Sandy Harris in the September 11th Democratic primary election and defeated Joe Osgood (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Pierce won re-election by finishing second for the four-seat Grafton District 9 of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, receiving 5,538 votes behind Democrat Sharon Nordgren (5,656) and ahead of Democrats Bernard Benn (5,481) and Beatriz Pastor-Bodmer (5,418) and "Others" (95).[3]

Among Pierce's opponents, Nordgren raised $500 for her campaign, against $3,250 by Benn.[4]
