David Potts was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 40 of the Michigan House of Representatives.

Potts, an attorney by trade, is a member of the Oakland County Commission. He is also the co-host of a television program, Eye on Oakland. Potts ran in the 2012 election for Michigan House of Representatives District 40. He ran against Robert Lawrence, Michael D. McCready, and David Wolkinson in the Republican primary on August 7. Incumbent Chuck Moss (R) is not running for re-election and was defeated.[1][2]
