David Rouzer (b. February 16, 1972) is a Republican member of the North Carolina State Senate, representing District 12.

Rouzer is a Former Senior Policy Advisor for both Senator Jesse Helms and Senator Elizabeth Dole. He was also a candidate for North Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture in 2000. He joined the North Carolina State Senate in 2009. He has served in that position since, representing the 12th district.

Rouzer is running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing North Carolina's 7th District. Rouzer is seeking the nomination on the Republican ticket. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run was February 29, 2012. Rouzer will face Ilario Pantano and Timothy Alan Wilkes in the May 8, 2012 Republican primary.

The Washington Post listed the House of Representatives elections in Ohio in 2012 as one of the states that could determine whether Democrats retake the House or Republicans will hold its majority in 2013.[1] [North Carolina was rated 8th on the list.[1]
