David received 62% of the vote, defeating Bob Friedrich. He will face re-election in November 2010.[2]

Weprin was a councilmember on the New York City Council from 2001-2010. His professional experiences include financial services; deputy superintendent of Banks; and secretary of the Banking Board for New York State.
