David Wysong was a Republican member of the Kansas State Senate, representing the 7th District from 2005 to December 13, 2009. In 1996, he served on the City Council of Mission Hills. From 1996 to 1998, he was a Johnson County Commissioner. He is married with 2 children.

Wysong resigned from his seat on December 13, 2009 "due to family considerations."[1]
