Dawn Pettengill is a Republican member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing the 39th District since 2005.

Pettengill has served as Commissioner of the Department of Elder Affairs, and worked in the retirement and financial services industry.

She is a member of the Belle Plaine Optimists Club and Advisor to the Mount Auburn Youth Council.[1]

Pettengill ran for re-election to the 39th District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. She was also unopposed in the Republican primary. The general election takes place on November 2, 2010.


On November 4, 2008, Pettengill was re-elected to the 39th District Seat in the Iowa House of Representatives, defeating Terry Hertle (D). [2] Pettengill raised $117,687 for her campaign, while Hertle raised $39,801. [3]
