Dawson Tucker Hodgson (b. July 10, 1978) is a Republican member of the Rhode Island State Senate, representing District 35. He was first elected to the chamber in 2010. He is currently serving as Deputy Minority Leader.

Biography

Hodgson attended St. George's School and Bucknell University where he graduated in 2000. He received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2004. His professional experience includes working as a Criminal Prosecutor with the Department of the Attorney General in Rhode Island from 2005-2010, as a law clerk for the Washington County Superior Court from 2004-2005 and for the Sodco incorporated family farm and Chipuxet River Farm.

Hodgson won re-election in District 35. He was unopposed in the Republican primary on September 11. Winters B. Hames III was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Hodgson defeated Hames in the general election which took place on November 6.[2]
