Dean Mortimer is a Republican member of the Idaho State Senate, representing District 30 since 2012. He previously represented District 32 from 2008 to 2012.

Mortimer earned his Associate's degree from Ricks College and later earned his Bachelor's degree in Speech from Utah State University. Mortimer earned his Master's in Business Administration from Utah State University.

Mortimer is the owner of a construction company and property management company. Mortimer has also worked in the financial services industry in the past.

Before being a Senator, Mortimer was a member of the Idaho House of Representatives from 2006 to 2008.
