Debbie Buckner is a Democratic member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 137. Buckner represented the district, previously the 130th District, since 2003. She is the Assistant to the Majority Whip.

Buckner has served as Senior Public Health Educator with the Columbus Health Department, and as Director of Community Relations for the Doctors Hospital in Columbus.

She is on the American Cancer Society Board - Columbus-Fort Benning Chapter, American Lung Association of Georgia Board, Concharty Council of Girl Scouts Board, Secretary of the Historic Talbotton Foundation of the West Central Georgia Cancer Coalition Board, and Secretary of the Zion Episcopal Church Restoration Project.[1]
