On November 8, 2011, Dixon won election to District 63 of the Mississippi House of Representatives. She defeated incumbent Walter Robinson, Jr. in the primary on August 2, 2011.[1] Dixon defeated Republican John Weisenberger in the November 8 general election. [2]
