2008

On November 4, 2008, DeSimone won election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives from the Rockingham 6 District, which sent two representatives to the New Hampshire House of Representatives, by finishing with the second-highest vote total in the election. DeSimone received 2,269 votes. The other winning candidate from Rockingham 6 was James Garrity (R&D), receiving 3,404 votes. Because the 2008 race in Rockingham 6 had two candidates for two available seats, DeSimone and Garrity essentially ran unopposed. Additionally, 5 votes went to "others", who were presumably write-in candidates. [3]
