A Deerfield Township Road Levy Renewal measure will be on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Deerfield, which is in Livingston County.

This measure seeks to renew the current road levy which is set at a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of four years in order to further pay for road improvement and maintenance costs in the township.[1]

Shall the previously voted millage of 1.000 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 SEV) upon taxable real and personal property within Deerfield Township be renewed? This levy is for funding dust control and maintenance of public roads in Deerfield Township, Livingston County, State of Michigan, for a period of four years beginning September 30, 2012 thru December 31, 2015. This levy will raise an estimated $149,215.00 in the first year of such levy, which is a decrease of $2,209.00 from last year. (This is a renewal of millage which expired on the 2011 tax levy).
