Morgan is running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Oregon's 1st District. Morgan won the nomination on the Republican ticket. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run was March 6, 2012. Morgan defeated Lisa Michaels in the Republican primary to unseat Rep Suzanne Bonamici (D).
2012 Special Election
Morgan ran in the Republican primary for the 2012 special election in Oregon's 1st congressional district. She lost the primary to Rob Cornilles, however, coming in fifth place.[2]
