Kennedy is running in the 2012 election for North Carolina House of Representatives District 4. She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 8, 2012. She will face incumbent Jimmy Dixon and Kevin E. Hayes (L) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1]
