Delores G. Kelley is a Democratic member of the Maryland State Senate, representing District 10. She was first elected to the chamber in 1994. She previously served in the Maryland House of Delegates from 1991 to 1995.

Biography

Kelley earned her B.A. in Philosophy from Virginia State College in 1956, her M.A. in Education from New York University in 1958, her M.A. in Speech Communication from Purdue University in 1972, and her Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Maryland College Park in 1977. Her professional experience includes working as a professor and dean at Coppin State College.

The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Incumbent Delores Kelley defeated Stephanie Boston and Pat Kelly in the Democratic primary and has no ballot opposition in the general election. Boston is a write-in candidate in the general election.[1][2]

Kelley is married and has three children. She is a member of the Baltimore County Democratic Central Committee, president of the Tenth District Democratic Club and vice-chair of the Harbor Bank of Maryland board of directors.
