Harlow won re-election in the 2012 election for Maine House of Representatives District 116. Harlow ran unopposed in the June 12 Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

Harlow's opponents in the November 2 general election were Republican candidate Kenneth Capron and Independent candidate Frederick Kilfoil. Harlow defeated Capron and Kilfoil in the November 2 general election.[3] Democratic incumbent Charles Harlow did not seek re-election, although he was eligible to do so under Maine's term limits.
