Ballot Measures

Another marijuana ballot measure in Denver

Denver voters will decide whether or not they'd like to make "small amounts of marijuana [possession]" the lowest priority for city police. In 2005, 54% of voters approved a ballot measure that made it legal for adults to possess less than one ounce of the drug; however, the number of arrests since the measure passed, have risen. The group behind the measure is Safer Alternatives for Enjoyable Recreation--they were also behind the 2005 initiative.[1]
