Dick Barrett (b. July 23, 1942) is a Democratic member of the Montana State Senate, representing District 47 since January 7, 2013. Barrett is a former member of the Montana House of Representatives, representing the 93rd District from 2009 to 2013.

Barrett's professional experience includes working as a volunteer in the Peace Corps from 1964-1966.

Barrett earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1972 and his B.A. in economics from Swathmore College in 1964.

Barrett won election in the 2012 election for Montana State Senate, District 47. Barrett ran unopposed in the June 5 primary election and defeated Fred Carl (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
