Dick Dearden (b. June 3, 1938) is a Democratic member of the Iowa Senate, representing District 34. Dearden was Chair of the Polk County Democrats from 1980 to 1982. In 1996 he was a delegate at the Democratic National Convention. He has been on the Polk County Central Committee since 1972. He joined the Iowa State Senate in 1994.
