Dominic 'Dom' Costa (b. 1951) is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 21. He was first elected to the chamber in 2008.

Costa has served as President of the Morningside Area Community Council since 2007.

Biography

Costa became a Master Plumber from the Mon Yough Plumbing Apprentice Program in 1975. He graduated from the Allegheny County Police Academy in 1978 and attended Criminal Justice studies at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1981. His professional experience includes working as a master plumber from 1970 to 1979, as a police officer for the City of Pittsburgh Police Department from 1979 to 2005, as the Director of Public Safety for the Municipality of Penn Hills in 2005 and as the Chief of Police for the City of Pittsburgh in 2006.
