Donald H. Cookman is a Democratic member of the West Virginia State Senate, representing District 15. Cookman was first appointed to the chamber on January 31, 2013 by Governor Earl Ray Tomblin (D) to fill the vacancy left by Walt Helmick (D).[1]

Biography

Cookman attended Romney High School and earned his bachelor's and law degrees at West Virginia University. He served as Chief Judge of the 22nd Judicial Circuit from 1993 to January 23, 2013. Cookman is an attorney.[2]
