Donald DiOrio is a 2011 Republican candidate for District 36 of the New Jersey State Senate. He previously ran unsuccessfully for the New Jersey General Assembly in 2007.

Besides owning his own event and travel management business, DiOrio has served on the Carlstadt school board, and the Carlstadt zoning board.

DiOrio attended Montclair State University, and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

DiOrio is running in the 2011 election for New Jersey Senate District 36. He was set to face Republican candidate Simon Grubin in the primary on June 7, however, Grubin withdrew from the race on April 18, 2011. DiOrio is opposed by Democratic incumbent Paul Sarlo in the general election which takes place on November 8, 2011. [1]
