Douglas Dryden Rae was a 2012 Independent write-in candidate who sought election to the U.S. House representing the 1st Congressional District of Maryland.

Rae lost to Republican incumbent Andrew Harris on November 6, 2012.[1]

Rae ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Maryland's 1st District. Rae ran as an Independent. He faced incumbent Andy Harris (R), Muir Boda (L), Michael Calpino (I) and John LaFerla (D write-in) in the November 6, 2012, general election.[2]
