Gage won election in the 2012 election for Vermont House of Representatives Rutland 5-4. Gage was unopposed in the August 28 Republican primary and defeated Sherri Durgin-Campbell (D) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

Douglas Gage ran for the Vermont House of Representatives Rutland 5-4 in 2010. He was unopposed in the Republican primary on August 24, 2010. He was opposed by Gale Courcelle (D) in the November 2, 2010 general election. According to unofficial results Gage was defeated, but as of November 15 a recount is pending.[3]
