Drug Free America

Drug Free America is a nonprofit organization dedicated helping parents to prevent, intervene, and treat young teens who deal with substance abuse problems. Drug Free America was started in the mid-80s with a small group that came up with the Idea of using advertising to deter drug use. The organization has affiliates and alliances in 21 states.[1]


  • Drug Free America leadership consists of 35 dedicated individuals. They look to accomplish their mission by bringing together top scientists and parent experts to better understand teens and drug abuse. Along with the Board of Directors, the organization does a great deal of consultation with advisors.[2]
