Eastpointe City Charter Amendments, 2 (August 2012)
Both measures were approved
The first measure sought to amend the city charter so that the organizational structure would be better defined between the City Manager and Council members.
The second measure sought to amend the city charter so that the city can enter into contracts for water, waste and recycling as long as they o not exceed ten years.

The question on the ballot:
| Proposal I: Shall the Charter of the City of Eastpointe, Chapter III Sections 14, 15, 17, 26, 27 and 41 be amended; to redefine the organizational structure between the City Council, the City Manager, and the Director of Finance to provide that the City Manager shall appoint the Director of Finance who thereafter shall be immediately responsible to the City Manager for the administration of the Department of Finance?
Proposal II: Shall the Charter of the City of Eastpointe, Chapter XII Section 22 be amended to allow the City to enter into contracts paid out of money from appropriations for waste removal, recycling services and public works for a period in excess of three years but not to exceed ten years?
