This measure sought to add to the current school levy by a rate of $.945 per $100 of assessed property value for a continuing period of time in order further pay for current expenses in the school district.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| An additional tax for the benefit of the Edison Local School District for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding 9.45 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.945 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013. |
