|Georgia House of Representatives District 21|
Correia filed to run in the special election for Georgia House of Representatives District 21. The seat was left vacant following Sean Jerguson's (R) resignation. Jerguson announced he would run for the District 21 state senate seat left vacant when Chip Rogers (R) resigned in December 2012. Correia was found ineligible to run for the seat because he lives just over the line in House District 22.
